GETTING TO TAIWAN

FLY INTO: Taipei Taiwan Taoyuan Int’l Airport (TPE)

TRAVEL VISA: Generally not required for stays of less than 90 days

ARRIVAL: Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport Buses run every 15 minutes to the city center (NT$115 to NT$150) from 4:30am to 12:20am. A taxi (40 to 60 minutes) to the city costs NT$1200–1400.

GETTING AROUND

We recommend using taxi or Uber for transportation within Taipei. This is usually the most efficient way for visitors to get around without the burden of trying to navigate the city streets or public transit system.

Should you prefer to take public transit, the Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) metro systems are clean, safe, and reliable. Signs and ticket machines are available in English. Posters clearly indicate bus transfer routes.
